A travel advisory ought to be issued whenever Neil Bush boards a plane for Southeast Asia. What should we do when he's in the company of Sun Myung Moon?
Thanks to John Gorenfeld for the story that Silverado's billion dollar Bush has joined the "Lord of the Second Advent" on his 100-day world tour, ostensibly to promote the usual over-the-Moon agenda of peace, love and understanding.
Last Wednesday Team Moon touched down in Taiwan to launch a "global peace campaign" and promote the formation of "ideal families." Moon declared that "'spirits' have arrived on Earth to watch human beings' every move," and that "those who stray away from the heavenly way will be punished." Next stop was the Philippines - The Manila Bulletin generously described Bush as a "peace leader" - where President Gloria Arroyo "praised Moon for his global peace efforts and God-centered, family-centered economic and social initiatives."
Neil, we know, is following Poppy's lead: Moon led his father across South America in the mid-90s, stuffing a hundred grand in his pocket for his trouble, which naturally was no trouble at all for either man.
Also along for the latest ride is Washington Times President Joo Dong Moon, and that should remind us of the part the Moonie paper played in breaking, and then stifling, the Craig Spence White House call boy scandal that was linked to the office of Vice President Bush on this notorious front page. As I wrote last February, "did the Times initially play this story as big as it did in order to win influence? In other words, Look - we got the goods - what you gonna do about it? The Times said it had the names of Spence's clients, and that they included politicians, as well as military, media and business figures. Blackmail, it's called in impolite circles. This could explain why the scandal was made to go away virtually overnight, the names undisclosed. Because, they did something about it."
Given Neil's publicized appetites, it doesn't take a great leap of imagination, or even a particularly sordid imagination, to wonder what might remain hidden by a friendly publisher with his own intelligence apparatus and Asian power base. That is, assuming the Bush boy gives something in return.
The Moon junket isn't Neil's first unlikely foray into the politics of religion. He works Capitol Hill as a lobbyist for Scientology, and still needing clarity is the story that he co-founded a mysterious Swiss-based ecumenical foundation with the future Pope Benedict XVI in 1999. As I noted back in April Neil Bush is hardly regarded for his attention to religious causes, nor Ratzinger to ecumenism. (Also from the April post: "Curiously, the foundation is listed by Dun & Bradstreet as a 'management trust for purposes other than education, religion, charity or research,' though an official claims the designation must be a mistranslation.")
Superficially it would seem as though brother Neil has picked up the religion brief for the Bush family. (Or perhaps that should be the "Religion: Other" brief, as a part of George still glibly plays the role of prelate to evangelical America.) But perhaps that would be to confuse the things of Moon, Hubbard and the Vatican with the things of spirit. The three kingdoms move vast sums of wealth, are latticed with networks of international crime and intelligence and command the loyalties of hundreds of millions of people, some compelled by various degrees of mind control.
While I appreciate its colour, I don't use the term "Bush Family Evil Empire." The Octopus is the family business, but I think the Bushes should be regarded more as its trusted lieutenants than its first crime family. Moon owns 600,000 hectares in Paraguay's arid Chaco, below which sits the worlds largest aquifer. And as it's not just about oil, it's not just about water, either. It's about drugs and guns, as well. That's the business of the Octopus. As Paraguay's former "drug czar" said, "The fact that they came and bought in Chaco and on both sides of the Brazilian border is very telling. It is an enormously strategic point in both the narcotics and arms trades and indeed the available intelligence clearly shows that the Moon sect is involved in both these enterprises." This should inform our reading of recent headlines such as US military presence in Paraguay irks neighbors.
The Bush Family presents the most recognizable face of the Octopus, having risen, more than once, to the highest purportedly-public office in the United States. But what again is the correlation between ceremony and power?

I only meant to suggest that the Bushes were lieutenants. I think Moon may be more than that, because he can exercise more direct control, globally, over commodities of deep power.

I'm assuming some or various Rockefellers are higher up in the Octopus hall-of-fame because of their founding influence over think tanks like CFR (Council Foreign Relations) and noting how most US politicians of either stripe seem to fawningly praise Rockefeller at these.
I'd also speculate arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi as being high up the list. The Slate/Timothy Noah 'Six Degrees of Adnan Khashoggi' and follow ups are amusing enough but Peter Dale Scott (in excerpts from his upcoming ROAD TO 9/11) pinpoints Khashoggi as being one of a group at a particular meeting in Europe where - he hints - the beginning spark and plans for 9/11 first started. Big banks, big money, big arms dealers, big money, drug profits and big influence. The Bushs know which side their bread is buttered on, and with spook and money influence serve a useful purpose for the folk above them.
Chaim Kupferberg's articles about 9/11 propaganda pre the attacks suggest a wide and far-reaching media campaign to lay the groundwork for the PR spin that followed. Being agnostic, I regard ALL religions from all time as a primitive variety of mind control. The distinction among various religions' hold on their followers is mostly a matter of degrees of sophistication and subtlety. Through mind/psychological research paid for by the CIA, et al, (and perhaps passed on by Nazi scientists and propagandists) the sophistication of mind control techniques has increased, unfortunately, mostly practiced by the most irresponsible and self-interested people.

On the buzzing noises. I also had many episodes of sleep paralysis when younger. Buzzing, vibrating noises were always an integral part of the phenomenon. More intense episodes would have gurgling sounds as well. "Cellophane tearing" is a good description of some of the most intense episodes. I wonder what explanations neurobiologists might have?

Ratzinger is almost certainly Opus Dei; his single-handed authorship (as head of the Sacre Congregatio Doctrina Fides) of the encyclical "Quaesitum Est" in 1983 after the elimination of Canon 2335 (prohibiting Freemasonry specifically, pursuant to the 1738 Bull 'In Eminenti') from the New (1983) Codex Iuris Canonicus, marks him out as an extremist.
Canon 2335 was deliberately watered down (and specific reference to Freemasonry removed) in a bid by moderates to try and extend an olive branch to humanist doctrines - and somehow it actually managed to get included in the final 1983 Codex.
When Ratznger found out about it he went ballistic, and basically authored and promulgated an ex cathedra statement (which he was not entitled to do); since Karol Wotjlya was scared of the Sacre Congregatio Doctrina Fides (and it's sister Inquisition, the Sacre Congregatio Propaganda Fides), as Pope he sat by and permitted 'Quaesitum Est' to stand.
It was effectively a palace coup in everything but name; shortly thereafter the pressure for the canonisation of Jose Escriva de Balaguer started to really peak.
Thats why Freemasons have known since about 1993 (when I first wrote about it) that Ratzinger was going to be the next Pope; Opus now owned the Vatican.

One topic I'd like to see discussed here is the case of the Japanese gold. I've never known whether to believe in it or not -- though it's certainly a great story. If true, it could explain a lot about certain events over the last 50 years. Even if false, the names associated with it are a good indication of the lines of power in the world.
Briefly, the claim is that in the course of World War II, the Japanese looted untold riches from China and elsewhere, and that when it became apparent that they were losing the war, they buried large amounts of gold and other precious items in multiple caches in places like the Philippines. Some of this gold was retrieved in the 50's by Japanese fascists to fuel the rise of Reverend Moon and the World Anti-Communist League. It is also associated with names like Ferdinand Marcos and Adnan Kashoggi. Some of it has never been recovered, though treasure-hunters periodically gear up to go after it. Wayne Madsen (though I don't see him as very credible at this point) was implying last year that some of it had fallen into the hands of the Bushes and was used to steal the 2004 election.
As I say, the story largely strikes me as just too good to be true -- and yet something about it keeps tugging at my imagination. For anyone who wants to check it out there's a relatively restrained version here and here. There's another one here. There's an Alex Constantine piece (and what's his rep, by the way?) focusing on Kashoggi here. But the most extreme claims are in a book called "Gold Warriors: America’s Secret Recovery of Yamashita’s Gold," discussed here and here.
I'm totally agnostic on this subject myself, but I'd really like to see some reasoned arguments as to why it should or shouldn't be taken seriously.

One of my favourite recent books was "The Cryptonomicon" n yNeal Stephenson (yes, the play on the name is clever, I think), which concerns a plot of sorts by people involved in 'virtual money' (similar to PayPal) and data-havens (which also exist now)... to recover Japanese gold caches stored (among other places) in a deep cavern complex in the Phillipines.
The book is sitting next to me as I type this.
Now - as to the veracity of the story (which has been doing the rounds of a couple of 'communities' in which I participate), I would say this: in parts, the Cryptonomicon is a thinly-veiled factual history, in the same way as "Tomorrow Belongs To US" (about the "Mooj" in Afghanistan and a US tactical nuclear strike to knock out a base, which is passed off as an earthquake) was also literal history disguised as fiction. With this latter book (which dates from the late '90s) I actually now the author's security credentials and background.
The German Gold story was not a myth (but it was also resolved much earlier than most people think); there is no reason that I can think of for the Japanese Gold story to be entirely fictional. After all, if they looted a couple of billion from Manchuria, the entire stash would have fitten in th hold of a single steamer... which might now be on the ocean floor somewhere. There's the rub, you see - there's every chance that the stash was sunk before it got anywhere near the area set aside as its resting place.
(And also, how would the location have been lost to the governments that took over from the Emperor?)

I think it's a foregone conclusion that the Catholic Church is no innocent. As someone said in a previous post, power itself attracts all sorts of nasty people who are drawn to the power and get carried away with it. There are plenty of levels of power in the Catholic Church from the nun in the classroom that whacks the 6-year-old child to the former Nazi sympathizer who's running the show.

Caryl Johnston, perhaps you need to research the history of Catholicism a little more closely. After all, the present structure is vastly different from that which obtained early in its history.
Furthermore, many of the 17 centuries that the Catholic Church has existed have been full of blood. (I'm dating from the Council of Niceae in 328 when they voted that Yeshua ben Yusuf was a Man-God born of a virgin).

"Kill them all; the Lord knows his own")..; how much evidence do you need that the people in the power structure will do anything that they view as necessary in order to maintain and extende their power?
Intellectually, you need look no further than the Modernist movement - founded by the Vatican in order to use modern scientific reasoning to validate the historicity of the CHURCH (as pposed to the Biblical) narrative. Whe nthe first Modernist writings - written by devoted Catholic theologians, but using proper research methods rather than parrotting - could not provide any support for the Church tradition, the Catholic church banned their entire corpus (the Index Librorum Prohibitorum grew tenfold in ten years), and banned membership of the modernist movement - even to the extent of manking mew seminarians take an anti-Modernism vow.
So take the '2000 years' since Peter usurped James' rightful place as heir to the throne (it's a THRONE - bear that in mind) and look at it properly. All of a suddent Ratzonger is behaving like any of the hundreds of other bit-players in the drama that is the Myth of Christ.
And yes, I ahve said before, I am a Freemason: Freemasonry is not hostile to the Catholic Church - the hostility goes the other way (since 1738): Freemasonry will permit a Catholic to become a Mason, but Catholicism - when practised in line withthe 1983 Codex Iuris Canonicus and subsequent ex cathedra statements - will then deny him the sacrament.

Catholicism was also instrumental in the rise of scientific materialism in the 1600's. I have some old notes in my files on a book by David C. Lindberg and Ronald L. Numbers called "God and Nature: Historical Essays on the Encounter between Christianity and Science" (1986).
According to what I jotted down when I read it, what was originally called the "mechanical philosophy" arose in the 1620's out of French Catholic attempts to refute Italian natural philosophy, with its underpinnings of Renaissance occultism. The motivating idea was that it was necessary to expel the supernatural from Nature in order to reinforce the sole power of God as a source of the miraculous.
This same approach then got picked up by the Protestants in England, particularly after the restoration of the monarchy in 1660, and for much the same reason. Basically, it came down to a desire to reassert the supreme authority of Church and State in an era where occult philophies (and religious radicalism) were overturning authority of every kind and proclaiming that it was possible for each individual to learn directly from Nature (and/or the Bible.)
It was only much later, in the 19th century, that materialism got picked up by political radicals as a useful tool with which to dislodge God-the-authority figure. At that point, the elites had to drop it and figure out new forms of superstition to control the masses. (Thus the emergence of fundamentalism in the late 1800's.)
But materialism started out as an elite contrivance for restraining the power of science and natural magic. And it was the intellectual clout of the Catholic Church that made it possible.
What Bush and Moon are providing us with is a "sterling" example of pathocracy:

In my opinion, no powerful organization is 'blameless.' Part of what we see on this board suggests a shady side to Freemasonry as well. Every organization has right and left hands. The Catholic Church has some beautiful teachings but is also directly or indirectly responsible for many problems the human race has weathered in the past centuries - including what it does to individual minds who are infused with a guilt complex, among other things, from the beginning. My wife is Catholic and I don't think she'll ever untie the knots they put in her head.
As for Freemasonry, there are probably many evil men who are Masons. There are probably even some Lodges that are evil (P2 for example). There is little 'real' Masons can do about that. Masonry unites people of every sect and opinion, and tries to find the common denominator among humankind's spiritual doctrines. There is no teaching that Masonry will quash, and no group that Masonry will try to destroy through an 'inquisition.' I visited your rant site as well, and though most of it is unfortunately Greek to me, there was a sense validation of a certain unease with the current accounting and rosy economic prognositications pimped, - I mean lauded by the neo-fascists in the Bush government.
The Golden Lily, Prior of Sion, Trilateral Commission, Illuminati et. al. lore only amplifies the suspicion that something cold and wicked in the darkness is controlling the worlds wealth and resources, and that something is not seeking peace on earth and good will towards men.
If I may convey another Vegas tidbit. There was a certain notable morman family I knew, (through illicit connects) who were the owners of the most illustrious and profitable printing company in Vegas. Bowman and Sons somehow came upon a map supposedly leading to a large cache of gold stashed away by the Japanese in the Phillipines and were bent on casing in, and living even more happily ever after. They entire family was delirious for more than of bizarre, but intrepid preparation. As a periphial spectator, I would here periodic updates of the plans and intrigues and sordid dealings and the certainty of unimagined riches. The Bowmans were already millionaires, and the he "son" I knew vicariously was far from religious, the father pretended otherwise and presenting a morman piousness. This little treasure escapade transpired more than a decade ago, but I watched their successful printing operation fall into rapid disorder in disbelief. There entire project seemed wildly out of context for the lot and was planned with a kind of maniacal obsession bordering on lunacy that confused and alarmed friends, psuedo aquaintances, unfortunately business associates.
The patriarch of the family endeavored to commission an expidition cloaked as morman archeological research. Amazingly after artful negotiations, siphoning considerable loads of money out of the printing business, the new Phillipino government agreed to sanction the research in the spirit of christian brotherhood.
A haphazardly assembled team hastily set out for the Phillipines in search of ill-gotten booty.
Months went by. The looser son terribly mismanaged the business which was loosing clients, suffering liquidity problems, when - Allah be praised the map did indeed prove accurate and word was returned of a find that would allay all their financial problems forever. Bus gold shining so bright and weighing so heaving the hearts and minds of mere mortals lured a loosing of lips, which eventually alerted the newly formed Phillipino government (Aquino's husband I believe) to send in the military to investigate the morman expiditions finds and eventually confiscate the loot as a Phillipino claim with all rights and privileges denied to the lying Americans. Further a surly suggestion was delivered to the disheartened morman team, that perhpaps a quick return to the desert was the best, least costly and painful course of action at the time, and they were alerted never to set foot in the Phillipines again.

AJ, you wanted to know why evil entities want to mess with us. Before I could get around to replying, Anon 10:10 replied with a sort of traditional Christian answer: essentially, good angels rebelled against their Maker and became evil, yet retained all their powers. I think that explanation (which is based on what can be gleaned from the Bible) is essentially correct, as far as it goes.
As to the bigger picture, of why angels would rebel, and why God would allow this, I can't say with 100 % certainty. Just like us, they appear to have been created with free will. I subscribe to the theory that the exercise of free will and choosing right from wrong is necessary in order for us to become what God is making of us.
Although "God is light, and in him there is no darkness," according to John, in reading the Old Testament it is difficult to avoid concluding that at the very least, God takes responsibility for evil. He says "I create evil" -- the Hebrew word meaning not moral evil, but "calamity" -- but also, he allows the fallen angels to exist and some scriptures even have him "sending" them to test certain men, such as Job. So I think that the Bible is hinting at the fact that God is sovereign, he's running the show; that he is in fact orchestrating the ultimate "dialectic" of good vs. evil in order to create a Grand Synthesis.
