Full Spectral Dominance (Part One)

You could go down to the canyon
piss away this incarnation

but just remember that you pay for what you get - Bruce Cockburn

As I said in an earlier post, I'm finding the correspondences between boundary experiences a fascinating and instructive study. And an aspect which almost always appears present, whichever boundary is breached, is the electrical. Perhaps not surprisingly so, since the electric is also a irreducible aspect of physical life. It's not only out there, but it's in us. (In other words I suppose, wherever you go, there you are.) Our brains are not just grey matter; they also carry a frequency. And it seems, or so we're told, when we tune it just so, we can pick up other stations of reality's broad band.

It's what Bob Monroe was talking about, as he detailed his 40-year astral travelogue. Monroe developed a technique he called "hemi-sync" for inducing altered states of consciousness by entraining the brain towards certain frequencies. In the early '80s, INSCOM officers and the military's remote viewers were visiting Virginia's Monroe Institute every few weeks for it's five-day "Gateway Lifeline" program to hone their paranormal skills, though for their sake it was given the less squishy title of "Rapid Advancement Personal Training." (Monroe's military-intelligence connections might have been a birthright: it is said that his father was James Monroe, Executive Director of the CIA's mind control cut-out the Human Ecology Society.)

Monroe's first book, Journeys Out of the Body, includes a number of diary entries from the late '50s and early '60s which recount his early experiences with astral projection before hitting upon hemi-sync. For instance:

11/5/58 Afternoon

The vibrations came quickly and easily, and were not at all uncomfortable. When they were strong, I tried tolift out of the physical with no result. Whatever thought or combination I tried, I remained confined right where I was. I then remembered the rotating trick, which operates just as if you are turning over in bed. I started to turn, and recognized that my physical was not "turning" with me. I moved slowly, and after a moment I was "face down," or in direct opposition to the placement of my physical body. The moment I reached this 180 degree position, there was a hole. That's the only way to describe it. To my senses, it semed to be a hole in a wall which was about two feet thick and streched endlessly in all directions.... I felt that if my vision were good enough I could probably see nearby stars and planets.

Monroe spends weeks cautiously exploring the hole. He reaches in a hand, and is astonished when a hand took his and shook it. He hears his name called, and voices exclaiming "Come here quick! Look!" On one occasion he puts his hand through and feels something sharp dig into his palm, "like a hook, and dug in more deeply when I tried to withdraw it." On another, his hand feels as though it's been thrust into "electrically charged hot water."

Finally, "gathering courage, I pulled myself through in a sweeping rush, just as a swimmer might pull himself through a hole under water."What followed were a series of experiments "that were remarkable in their consistency of data, and defied any historical explanation." (Also, we ought to say, defying corroboration.) Monroe found, on repeated visits, a "physical-matter world almost identical to our own," though with weird details askew. (There were no electrical devices, and even the smallest car had a "single bench seat that will hold five to six people abreast.") He could travel in this realm he called "Locale III" largely undetected, ghost-like. What's more, he found he could "possess" the body of an inhabitant, and directly experience life in Locale III.

(I know the fallacy of interpreting the next thing I read by the last thing I've read. Still, I can't let it pass how much Monroe's description of pulling himself through the hole reminds me of the account from Skinwalker Ranch of the "tunnel" alleged to have appeared before the pair of NIDS researchers, and the black humanoid which was seen to hoist itself out and walk away.)

During an early passage of discovery in the realm, Monroe noticed something suddenly fly past him. "I turned just in time to see it heading for the wall and the hole. I was afraid for some reason that this was something that would go through and try to enter my body." Maybe so. In the early '80s, an alleged spirit named Miranon, picked up somewhere outside our space-time, "seemed actually to possess Bob Monroe one day... speaking through him like a spirit through a medium," writes Jim Schnabel. "Miranon still possessed Bob fairly often" when military personnel were frequent visitors to the Institute. Monroe was so taken by the Seth-like pronouncements of his astral friend that he named a pond on the property "Lake Miranon."

Monroe died in 1995, and Skip Atwater became the Institute's Director of Research. From 1978 to 1988, Atwater served as the Operations and Training Officer for the US Army Intelligence remote viewing program.

Journeys Out of the Body also records visionary alleged "precog" side-effects Monroe experienced during his early astral experiments. They are usually dreadful with strange menace and futility:

11/5/61
I am standing alone outside my house.... I see a group of aircraft emerge from the cloud cover, just above it. They approach, and I note that they are not typical aircraft or rockets.... They are not like any airplanes I have seen before. No wings are visible, and each machine is gigantic.... Each is shaped like the head of an arrow, V-shaped....

6/12/63
Gasoline is unavailable, electric power has been shut off. there is a great sense of fatality among everyone. It doesn't seem to be the product of atomic war, and there is no concern as to radioactive fallout. There is principally a feeling of doom and the breakup of civilization as we know it due to something momentous having taken place, a factor beyond human control.

Monroe adds, "I hope some of them are hallucinations."

My sister was in Singapore in the '80s. She was chatting with a group of friends when one of them told her that he had seen her the other evening in such-and-such a place. She asked him why he didn't come over and chat; he was quite welcome etc. He replied that he couldn't 'cos he was soulwalking. She asked him what he was talking about. He said that by meditating he could make his spirit leave his body and it could wander around at will. He went on to describe where she'd been that particular evening; who she had been talking to etc ... His descriptions were extremely authentic, as to whether or not this was a hoax/trick/con; she doesn't know.

"Hemi-Sync" sounds interesting. I wonder if it works if your deaf. I also wonder if the mantras typical to many "schools" of meditation function similarly, or provide a similar effect.

Anonymous One,Jeff,I think your getting warmer. You don't think the other 90% of your brain that you don't use,is there for nothing? I practiced this OBE tech. for many years, these discriptions you site are like a look back in time. There is power that you can use, they will let you feel it,sometimes you can even use it to make things happen. At first I thought this power was good, but with all power there is a price. I have quit the practice of leaving my body, mostly because of what I felt was out there, was trying to guide me.Oh,the pre cog shit is a sure thing,I had some of the crazyist shit happen at the time I was real heavy into it.I would tell people things that I was seeing ahead of time, after they would happen people would ask me how did I know?Stay on this one Jeff, there is much to find,I'm sure many of your readers have had some of these same shared events in their lives, later.

You're all getting warmer... an interesting article I though I would share with RI.

I think the black ops research agendas of the U.S. military and others have known this and exploited this for at least several generations...

Although it fails to mention it, it screams all that talk about an accessible tangible "Akashic field" to me...

The below information can be integrated into what is known about the odd transdimensional properties of monoatomic gold--by itself it 'vanishes' in a flash of bright light, though it's still there in mass, and any spectral analysis of its visible form says the gold has turned into an assortment of other elements entirely.

In 'Lost Secrets of the Sacred Ark: Amazing Revelations of the Incredible Power of [Monoatomic] Gold', you can read more about it. I think the books information goes well with a holographic universe at base, in which our bodies are just "receivers/formulaters" to various degrees more attuned or ill-tuned to sense what is "really" going on.

An interesting quote from below for which I increasingly agree: ghosts as simply normal physical phenomena.

the pre-quote:

"We are really "receivers" floating through a kaleidoscopic sea of frequency, and what we extract from this sea and transmogrify into physical reality is but one channel from many extracted out of the superhologram.

"This striking new picture of reality, the synthesis of Bohm and Pribram's views, has come to be called the holographic paradigm, and although many scientists have greeted it with skepticism, it has galvanized others. A small but growing group of researchers believe it may be the most accurate model of reality science has arrived at thus far. More than that, some believe it may solve some mysteries that have never before been explainable by science and even establish the paranormal as a part of nature."

The Amazing Holographic Universe
By Michael Talbot

In 1982 a remarkable event took place. At the University of Paris a research team led by physicist Alain Aspect performed what may turn out to be one of the most important experiments of the 20th century. You did not hear about it on the evening news. In fact, unless you are in the habit of reading scientific journals you probably have never even heard Aspect's name, though there are some who believe his discovery may change the face of science.

Aspect and his team discovered that under certain circumstances subatomic particles such as electrons are able to instantaneously communicate with each other regardless of the distance separating them. It doesn't matter whether they are 10 feet or 10 billion miles apart.

Somehow each particle always seems to know what the other is doing. The problem with this feat is that it violates Einstein's long-held tenet that no communication can travel faster than the speed of light. Since traveling faster than the speed of light is tantamount to breaking the time barrier, this daunting prospect has caused some physicists to try to come up with elaborate ways to explain away Aspect's findings. But it has inspired others to offer even more radical explanations.

University of London physicist David Bohm, for example, believes Aspect's findings imply that objective reality does not exist, that despite its apparent solidity the universe is at heart a phantasm, a gigantic and splendidly detailed hologram.

To understand why Bohm makes this startling assertion, one must first understand a little about holograms. A hologram is a three- dimensional photograph made with the aid of a laser.

To make a hologram, the object to be photographed is first bathed in the light of a laser beam. Then a second laser beam is bounced off the reflected light of the first and the resulting interference pattern (the area where the two laser beams commingle) is captured on film.

When the film is developed, it looks like a meaningless swirl of light and dark lines. But as soon as the developed film is illuminated by another laser beam, a three-dimensional image of the original object appears.

The three-dimensionality of such images is not the only remarkable characteristic of holograms. If a hologram of a rose is cut in half and then illuminated by a laser, each half will still be found to contain the entire image of the rose.

Indeed, even if the halves are divided again, each snippet of film will always be found to contain a smaller but intact version of the original image. Unlike normal photographs, every part of a hologram contains all the information possessed by the whole.

The "whole in every part" nature of a hologram provides us with an entirely new way of understanding organization and order. For most of its history, Western science has labored under the bias that the best way to understand a physical phenomenon, whether a frog or an atom, is to dissect it and study its respective parts.

A hologram teaches us that some things in the universe may not lend themselves to this approach. If we try to take apart something constructed holographically, we will not get the pieces of which it is made, we will only get smaller wholes.

This insight suggested to Bohm another way of understanding Aspect's discovery. Bohm believes the reason subatomic particles are able to remain in contact with one another regardless of the distance separating them is not because they are sending some sort of mysterious signal back and forth, but because their separateness is an illusion. He argues that at some deeper level of reality such particles are not individual entities, but are actually extensions of the same fundamental something.

To enable people to better visualize what he means, Bohm offers the following illustration.

Imagine an aquarium containing a fish. Imagine also that you are unable to see the aquarium directly and your knowledge about it and what it contains comes from two television cameras, one directed at the aquarium's front and the other directed at its side.

As you stare at the two television monitors, you might assume that the fish on each of the screens are separate entities. After all, because the cameras are set at different angles, each of the images will be slightly different. But as you continue to watch the two fish, you will eventually become aware that there is a certain relationship between them.

When one turns, the other also makes a slightly different but corresponding turn; when one faces the front, the other always faces toward the side. If you remain unaware of the full scope of the situation, you might even conclude that the fish must be instantaneously communicating with one another, but this is clearly not the case.

This, says Bohm, is precisely what is going on between the subatomic particles in Aspect's experiment.

According to Bohm, the apparent faster-than-light connection between subatomic particles is really telling us that there is a deeper level of reality we are not privy to, a more complex dimension beyond our own that is analogous to the aquarium. And, he adds, we view objects such as subatomic particles as separate from one another because we are seeing only a portion of their reality.

Such particles are not separate "parts", but facets of a deeper and more underlying unity that is ultimately as holographic and indivisible as the previously mentioned rose. And since everything in physical reality is comprised of these "eidolons", the universe is itself a projection, a hologram.

In addition to its phantomlike nature, such a universe would possess other rather startling features. If the apparent separateness of subatomic particles is illusory, it means that at a deeper level of reality all things in the universe are infinitely interconnected.

The electrons in a carbon atom in the human brain are connected to the subatomic particles that comprise every salmon that swims, every heart that beats, and every star that shimmers in the sky.

Everything interpenetrates everything, and although human nature may seek to categorize and pigeonhole and subdivide, the various phenomena of the universe, all apportionments are of necessity artificial and all of nature is ultimately a seamless web.

In a holographic universe, even time and space could no longer be viewed as fundamentals. Because concepts such as location break down in a universe in which nothing is truly separate from anything else, time and three-dimensional space, like the images of the fish on the TV monitors, would also have to be viewed as projections of this deeper order.

At its deeper level reality is a sort of superhologram in which the past, present, and future all exist simultaneously. This suggests that given the proper tools it might even be possible to someday reach into the superholographic level of reality and pluck out scenes from the long-forgotten past.

What else the superhologram contains is an open-ended question. Allowing, for the sake of argument, that the superhologram is the matrix that has given birth to everything in our universe, at the very least it contains every subatomic particle that has been or will be -- every configuration of matter and energy that is possible, from snowflakes to quasars, from bluü whales to gamma rays. It must be seen as a sort of cosmic storehouse of "All That Is."

Although Bohm concedes that we have no way of knowing what else might lie hidden in the superhologram, he does venture to say that we have no reason to assume it does not contain more. Or as he puts it, perhaps the superholographic level of reality is a "mere stage" beyond which lies "an infinity of further development".

Bohm is not the only researcher who has found evidence that the universe is a hologram. Working independently in the field of brain research, Standford neurophysiologist Karl Pribram has also become persuaded of the holographic nature of reality.

Pribram was drawn to the holographic model by the puzzle of how and where memories are stored in the brain. For decades numerous studies have shown that rather than being confined to a specific location, memories are dispersed throughout the brain.

In a series of landmark experiments in the 1920s, brain scientist Karl Lashley found that no matter what portion of a rat's brain he removed he was unable to eradicate its memory of how to perform complex tasks it had learned prior to surgery. The only problem was that no one was able to come up with a mechanism that might explain this curious "whole in every part" nature of memory storage.

Then in the 1960s Pribram encountered the concept of holography and realized he had found the explanation brain scientists had been looking for. Pribram believes memories are encoded not in neurons, or small groupings of neurons, but in patterns of nerve impulses that crisscross the entire brain in the same way that patterns of laser light interference crisscross the entire area of a piece of film containing a holographic image. In other words, Pribram believes the brain is itself a hologram. [and thus connected or simply a 'contact point' with the Akashic? some more attuned than others? There's lots of evidence for it.]

Pribram's theory also explains how the human brain can store so many memories in so little space. It has been estimated that the human brain has the capacity to memorize something on the order of 10 billion bits of information during the average human lifetime (or roughly the same amount of information contained in five sets of the Encyclopaedia Britannica).

Similarly, it has been discovered that in addition to their other capabilities, holograms possess an astounding capacity for information storage--simply by changing the angle at which the two lasers strike a piece of photographic film, it is possible to record many different images on the same surface. It has been demonstrated that one cubic centimeter of film can hold as many as 10 billion bits of information.

Our uncanny ability to quickly retrieve whatever information we need from the enormous store of our memories becomes more understandable if the brain functions according to holographic principles. If a friend asks you to tell him what comes to mind when he says the word "zebra", you do not have to clumsily sort back through ome gigantic and cerebral alphabetic file to arrive at an answer. Instead, associations like "striped", "horselike", and "animal native to Africa" all pop into your head instantly.

Indeed, one of the most amazing things about the human thinking process is that every piece of information seems instantly cross- correlated with every other piece of information--another feature intrinsic to the hologram. Because every portion of a hologram is infinitely interconnected with evey other portion, it is perhaps nature's supreme example of a cross-correlated system.

The storage of memory is not the only neurophysiological puzzle that becomes more tractable in light of Pribram's holographic model of the brain. Another is how the brain is able to translate the avalanche of frequencies it receives via the senses (light frequencies, sound frequencies, and so on) into the concrete world of our perceptions. Encoding and decoding frequencies is precisely what a hologram does best. Just as a hologram functions as a sort of lens, a translating device able to convert an apparently meaningless blur of frequencies into a coherent image, Pribram believes the brain also comprises a lens and uses holographic principles to mathematically convert the frequencies it receives through the senses into the inner world of our perceptions.

An impressive body of evidence suggests that the brain uses holographic principles to perform its operations. Pribram's theory, in fact, has gained increasing support among neurophysiologists.

Argentinian-Italian researcher Hugo Zucarelli recently extended the holographic model into the world of acoustic phenomena. Puzzled by the fact that humans can locate the source of sounds without moving their heads, even if they only possess hearing in one ear, Zucarelli discovered that holographic principles can explain this ability.

Zucarelli has also developed the technology of holophonic sound, a recording technique able to reproduce acoustic situations with an almost uncanny realism.

Pribram's belief that our brains mathematically construct "hard" reality by relying on input from a frequency domain has also received a good deal of experimental support.

It has been found that each of our senses is sensitive to a much broader range of frequencies than was previously suspected.

Researchers have discovered, for instance, that our visual systems are sensitive to sound frequencies, that our sense of smell is in part dependent on what are now called "osmic frequencies", and that even the cells in our bodies are sensitive to a broad range of frequencies. Such findings suggest that it is only in the holographic domain of consciousness that such frequencies are sorted out and divided up into conventional perceptions.

But the most mind-boggling aspect of Pribram's holographic model of the brain is what happens when it is put together with Bohm's theory. For if the concreteness of the world is but a secondary reality and what is "there" is actually a holographic blur of frequencies, and if the brain is also a hologram and only selects some of the frequencies out of this blur and mathematically transforms them into sensory perceptions, what becomes of objective reality?

Put quite simply, it ceases to exist. As the religions of the East have long upheld, the material world is Maya, an illusion, and although we may think we are physical beings moving through a physical world, this too is an illusion.

We are really "receivers" floating through a kaleidoscopic sea of frequency, and what we extract from this sea and transmogrify into physical reality is but one channel from many extracted out of the superhologram.

This striking new picture of reality, the synthesis of Bohm and Pribram's views, has come to be called the holographic paradigm, and although many scientists have greeted it with skepticism, it has galvanized others. A small but growing group of researchers believe it may be the most accurate model of reality science has arrived at thus far. More than that, some believe it may solve some mysteries that have never before been explainable by science and even establish the paranormal as a part of nature.

Numerous researchers, including Bohm and Pribram, have noted that many para-psychological phenomena become much more understandable in terms of the holographic paradigm.

In a universe in which individual brains are actually indivisible portions of the greater hologram and everything is infinitely interconnected, telepathy may merely be the accessing of the holographic level.

It is obviously much easier to understand how information can travel from the mind of individual 'A' to that of individual 'B' at a far distance point and helps to understand a number of unsolved puzzles in psychology. In particular, Grof feels the holographic paradigm offers a model for understanding many of the baffling phenomena experienced by individuals during altered states of consciousness.

Creation - Holographic Universe - 2

In the 1950s, while conducting research into the beliefs of LSD as a psychotherapeutic tool, Grof had one female patient who suddenly became convinced she had assumed the identity of a female of a species of prehistoric reptile. During the course of her hallucination, she not only gave a richly detailed description of what it felt like to be encapsuled in such a form, but noted that the portion of the male of the species's anatomy was a patch of colored scales on the side of its head.

What was startling to Grof was that although the woman had no prior knowledge about such things, a conversation with a zoologist later confirmed that in certain species of reptiles colored areas on the head do indeed play an important role as triggers of sexual arousal.

The woman's experience was not unique. During the course of his research, Grof encountered examples of patients regressing and identifying with virtually every species on the evolutionary tree (research findings which helped influence the man-into-ape scene in the movie Altered States). Moreover, he found that such experiences frequently contained obscure zoological details which turned out to be accurate.

Regressions into the animal kingdom were not the only puzzling psychological phenomena Grof encountered. He also had patients who appeared to tap into some sort of collective or racial unconscious. Individuals with little or no education suddenly gave detailed descriptions of Zoroastrian funerary practices and scenes from Hindu mythology. In other categories of experience, individuals gave persuasive accounts of out-of-body journeys, of precognitive glimpses of the future, of regressions into apparent past-life incarnations.

In later research, Grof found the same range of phenomena manifested in therapy sessions which did not involve the use of drugs. Because the common element in such experiences appeared to be the transcending of an individual's consciousness beyond the usual boundaries of ego and/or limitations of space and time, Grof called such manifestations "transpersonal experiences", and in the late '60s he helped found a branch of psychology called "transpersonal psychology" devoted entirely to their study.

Although Grof's newly founded Association of Transpersonal Psychology garnered a rapidly growing group of like-minded professionals and has become a respected branch of psychology, for years neither Grof or any of his colleagues were able to offer a mechanism for explaining the bizarre psychological phenomena they were witnessing. But that has changed with the advent of the holographic paradigm.

As Grof recently noted, if the mind is actually part of a continuum, a labyrinth that is connected not only to every other mind that exists or has existed, but to every atom, organism, and region in the vastness of space and time itself, the fact that it is able to occasionally make forays into the labyrinth and have transpersonal experiences no longer seems so strange.

The holographic prardigm also has implications for so-called hard sciences like biology. Keith Floyd, a psychologist at Virginia Intermont College, has pointed out that if the concreteness of reality is but a holographic illusion, it would no longer be true to say the brain produces consciousness. Rather, it is consciousness that creates the appearance of the brain -- as well as the body and everything else around us we interpret as physical.

Such a turnabout in the way we view biological structures has caused researchers to point out that medicine and our understanding of the healing process could also be transformed by the holographic paradigm. If the apparent physical structure of the body is but a holographic projection of consciousness, it becomes clear that each of us is much more responsible for our health than current medical wisdom allows. What we now view as miraculous remissions of disease may actually be due to changes in consciousness which in turn effect changes in the hologram of the body.

Similarly, controversial new healing techniques such as visualization may work so well because in the holographic domain of thought images are ultimately as real as "reality".

Even visions and experiences involving "non-ordinary" reality become explainable under the holographic paradigm. In his book "Gifts of Unknown Things," biologist Lyall Watson discribes his encounter with an Indonesian shaman woman who, by performing a ritual dance, was able to make an entire grove of trees instantly vanish into thin air. Watson relates that as he and another astonished onlooker continued to watch the woman, she caused the trees to reappear, then "click" off again and on again several times in succession.

Although current scientific understanding is incapable of explaining such events, experiences like this become more tenable if "hard" reality is only a holographic projection.

Perhaps we agree on what is "there" or "not there" because what we call consensus reality is formulated and ratified at the level of the human unconscious at which all minds are infinitely interconnected.

If this is true, it is the most profound implication of the holographic paradigm of all, for it means that experiences such as Watson's are not commonplace only because we have not programmed our minds with the beliefs that would make them so. In a holographic universe there are no limits to the extent to which we can alter the fabric of reality.

What we perceive as reality is only a canvas waiting for us to draw upon it any picture we want. Anything is possible, from bending spoons with the power of the mind to the phantasmagoric events experienced by Castaneda during his encounters with the Yaqui brujo don Juan, for magic is our birthright, no more or less miraculous than our ability to compute the reality we want when we are in our dreams.

Indeed, even our most fundamental notions about reality become suspect, for in a holographic universe, as Pribram has pointed out, even random events would have to be seen as based on holographic principles and therefore determined. Synchronicities or meaningful coincidences suddenly makes sense, and everything in reality would have to be seen as a metaphor, for even the most haphazard events would express some underlying symmetry.

Whether Bohm and Pribram's holographic paradigm becomes accepted in science or dies an ignoble death remains to be seen, but it is safe to say that it has already had an influence on the thinking of many scientists. And even if it is found that the holographic model does not provide the best explanation for the instantaneous communications that seem to be passing back and forth between subatomic particles, at the very least, as noted by Basil Hiley, a physicist at Birbeck College in London, Aspect's findings "indicate that we must be prepared to consider radically new views of reality".

thanks for posting Holographic Universe excerpts, I'd read it years ago and forgotten how good it is...and on the interconnected theme, about two hours before reading this post I was describing something to my wife and used the word transmorgify--I don't think I've ever used the word--and lo and behold, there it is, in the quotation. [and i don't think i've ever used the phrase lo and behold before either].

Regarding the 'holographic univererse' concept. However interesting it may seem to be on the surface, one should step back and think a bit.
First, even if it may might be possible for some particles to be somehow related, or even unified - there is next the question as to how extensive this phenomenon might be, how selective, how common, how frequent, how pervasive, how powerful. Can any kind of large scale or general influences be determined, or even predicted. Is there any real theory on it?

Then the second question - what about it? Even if this were so, what is to be made of it. It seems it is a lot like deep space Hubble-scoping. It may be interesting, impressive and even inspiring - but what will it ever have to do with existence as I know and experience it? Even if it is real, like the stars and the atoms are, my life is pretty much the same whether I know all about them or not.

To regress to the first question, about how extensive the phenomena may be, I think we should also consider it is really taking quite a quantum leap in supposition to say that some obscurely detectable and extremely limited phenomenon at some subatomic level must inductively mean that Everything is all interconnected and therefore the Universe is All One.

And has anyone ever put any real thought into what that it might mean even if Everything were an interconnected Whole? (doubtless someone has, but I also think it doubtful that very many have) If everything were connected and all whole, wouldn't that tend to promote the feelings of passive acceptance and non-distinction between things that matter and things that don't. I mean if All is One, then why not just pull the sofa up to the tube, toke up, and let the All Soul groove? 'Nothing is real. There's nothing to get hung up about. Strawberry fields forever'

Or is something else at work here?

I came across David Wilcock and divinecosmos.com after visiting the Monroe site. You may find some things there, Jeff. Besides claiming to be the reincarnation of Edgar Cayce, he promotes an "Ascension" scenario: "a compelling scientific case for there being a Convergence, Shift of the Ages, dimensional shift or Ascension now underway. When this solar-system-wide process is complete, estimated to be within the timeframe of 2010-2013, we can expect an “Omega Point” event that is literally “beyond our wildest dreams.” The changes in the Solar System are only the more obvious and physical result of these changes, where the energy of consciousness itself is being upgraded, causing mass evolution to occur."
Just some things from there:
"What we may NOT know is the following:

SUN: The Sun’s magnetic field is over 230 percent stronger now than it was at the beginning of the 1900s, and its overall energetic activity has sizably increased, creating a frenzy of activity that continues to embarrass NASA’s official predictions.

VENUS: Venus is now glowing in the dark, as is Jupiter’s moon Io.

EARTH: In the last 30 years, Earth’s icecaps have thinned out by as much as 40 percent. Quite inexplicably, just since 1997 the structure of the Earth has shifted from being slightly more egg-shaped, or elongated at the poles, to more pumpkin-shaped, or flattened at the poles. No one at NASA has even bothered to try to explain this yet. Link to full article at NASA.

MARS: The icecaps of Mars noticeably melted just within one year, causing 50-percent changes in surface features. Atmospheric density had risen by 200 percent above previous observations as of 1997.

JUPITER: Jupiter has become so highly energized that it is now surrounded by a visibly glowing donut tube of energy in the path of the moon Io. The size of Jupiter’s magnetic field has more than doubled since 1992.

SATURN: Saturn’s polar regions have been noticeably brightening, and its magnetic field strength increasing.

URANUS: According to NASA’s Voyager II space probe, Uranus and Neptune both appear to have had recent magnetic pole shifts – 60 degrees for Uranus and 50 for Neptune.

NEPTUNE: Neptune has become 40 percent brighter in infrared since 1996, and is fully 100-percent brighter in certain areas. Also, Neptune’s moon Triton has had a “very large percentage increase” in atmospheric pressure and temperature, comparable to a 22-degree Fahrenheit increase on Earth."
He seems to be into the "emerging Russian physics" and areas of high strangeness.
Of course he is selling things, and the channelled material is not my concern. But there is a lot of free info and correspondences that relate to the common pusrsuit here at RI which warrants checking it out.
I plugged in Monroe on his site search and came across another linl
http://www.keelynet.com/energy/dimshift.htm
which may offer more in the way of your previous article on anomalies such as the vortex at the ranch:

"10.7 LABORATORY EXPERIMENTS TO SHIFT TIME AND DIMENSION

If there is validity to the idea that these electromagnetic forces could transform human beings into another level of vibration, then we should expect that certain foolhardy and intrepid researchers would have already tried to do something like this, above and beyond the well-known Philadelphia Experiment, which we have previously discussed in The Shift of the Ages. Such possibilities are reported in the intriguing article entitled “Dimensional Shifts” by Jerry W. Decker at http://www.keelynet.com/energy/dimshift.htm. Mr. Decker is the Director of the KeelyNet website, which was originally a Bulletin Board Service (BBS) in the early 1990’s before the popularity of the Internet, and he is arguably one of the world’s foremost experts on anti-gravity and free energy. We will post some highlights of this intriguing article in case it is lost or made unavailable to some of our readers for some reason, and insert other related discussions as we proceed.

The statements that Decker makes in this article have direct bearing on our own research, including the “spheres within spheres” energetic effect that was seen in the Roschin / Godin experiment, which replicated Prof. Searl’s results with anti-gravity and free energy:

Each spatial (and possibly TEMPORAL) location, no matter what dimension it resides in, has a specific coordinate, referenced by a combination of frequencies that equate to the ‘signature’ for that location. These are nested frequencies – like bubbles within bubbles – because they are all standing waves produced by 180-degree phase conjugation.

Here, the reader should know that Decker is using the terms popularized by the work of Lt. Col. Tom Bearden. “Standing waves” with “180-degree phase conjugation” is another way of describing the spherical torus of energy that we have called the polarized CU. It can be called a “standing wave” because it can exhibit rotating, spiraling vortex motion while standing still, without moving through space. The “phase conjugation” of 180 degrees simply represents the north-south polarity of this energy form as we have seen in the “vacuum domains” of Dr. Dmitriev. So, we can see that even though this article was written before the Roschin / Godin study was ever published, Decker was already aware of what we would expect to see; a nested series of spherical torus energy forms."
Quite a bit here. Check it out Jeff.

Thanks for posting the Holographic Universe excerpt. I've been meaning to read that for years.

The old Principia Discordia saying "Nothing is true, everything is permitted," seems appropriate to this discussion.

On a personal level, yesterday I was perusing a book of men's magazines from the 1900's to the 1950's, and while looking at one page that had a photo of the magazine "Hi Life," the music in the store switched to "Back in the High Life Again" by Steve Winwood. This was about the third synchronistic event that day that I encountered. What's going on?

I don't know what you mean by "warning". Synchronicities are part of communicating with the spirit world. As such, it's often an encouragement unless the content is specifically ominous.

Over two decades ago I was at a party in Adelaide, Australia and something weird happened that was witnessed by at least four other people.
I was sitting in a lounge chair next to a long coffee table and was smoking a cigarette. The ashtray was at the other end of the table and so I reached over and moved the ashtray next to myself and ashed my cigarette. Witnesses claim that I looked at the ashtray and it slid over to me without me touching it at all.
I had taken LSD earlier that night and the people who saw this had not. Some were drunk and some had been smoking pot (which makes them bad witnesses I guess). To this day one of the witnesses (the only one I still know) swears it was the scariest thing he ever saw and that he had felt an electric like tingle while watching it occur.
I usually post here under my blogger ID but as I am admitting to criminal behaviour today I am anonymouse.

Is Earth in a Vortex of Space-Time?

November 24th, 2005 by Patrick L. Barry and Tony Phillips Print Email

We’ll soon know the answer: A NASA/Stanford physics experiment called Gravity Gravity Probe B (GP-B) recently finished a year of gathering science data in Earth orbit. The results, which will take another year to analyze, should reveal the shape of space-time around Earth–and, possibly, thelinks_yellow.gifvortex.

Time and space, according to Einstein’s theories of relativity, are woven together, forming a four-dimensional fabric called "space-time." The tremendous mass of Earth dimples this fabric, much like a heavy person sitting in the middle of a trampoline. Gravity, says Einstein, is simply the motion of objects following the curvaceous lines of the dimple. If Earth were stationary, that would be the end of the story. But Earth is not stationary. Our planet spins, and the spin should twist the dimple, slightly, pulling it around into a 4-dimensional swirl. This is what GP-B went to space to check.

The idea behind the experiment is simple:

Put a spinninglinks_yellow.gifgyroscope into orbit around the Earth, with the spin axis pointed toward some distant star as a fixed reference point. Free from external forces, the gyroscope’s axis should continue pointing at the star–forever. But if space is twisted, the direction of the gyroscope’s axis should drift over time. By noting this change in direction relative to the star, the twists of space-time could be measured.

In practice, the experiment is tremendously difficult.

The four gyroscopes in GP-B are the most perfect spheres ever made by humans. These ping pong-sized balls of fused quartz and silicon are 1.5 inches across and never vary from a perfect sphere by more than 40 atomic layers. If the gyroscopes weren’t so spherical, their spin axes would wobble even without the effects of relativity.

According to calculations, the twisted space-time around Earth should cause the axes of the gyros to drift merely 0.041 arcseconds over a year. An arcsecond is 1/3600th of a degree. To measure this angle reasonably well, GP-B needed a fantastic precision of 0.0005 arcseconds. It’s like measuring the thickness of a sheet of paper held edge-on 100 miles away. GP-B researchers invented whole new technologies to make this possible.

They developed a "drag free" satellite that could brush against the outer layers of Earth’s atmosphere without disturbing the gyros. They figured out how to keep Earth’s penetrating magnetic field out of the spacecraft. And they concocted a device to measure the spin of a gyro–without touching the gyro. Pulling off the experiment was an exceptional challenge. A lot of time and money was on the line, but the GP-B scientists appear to have done it.

"There were not any major surprises" in the experiment’s performance, says physics professor Francis Everitt, the Principal Investigator for GP-B at Stanford University. Now that data-taking is complete, he says the mood among the GP-B scientists is "a lot of enthusiasm, and a realization also that a lot of grinding hard work is ahead of us." A careful, thorough analysis of the data is underway. The scientists will do it in three stages, Everitt explains. First, they will look at the data from each day of the year-long experiment, checking for irregularities. Next they’ll break the data into roughly month-long chunks, and finally they’ll look at the whole year.

By doing it this way, the scientists should be able to find any problems that a more simple analysis might miss. Eventually scientists around the world will scrutinize the data. Says Everitt, "we want our sternest critics to be us." The stakes are high. If they detect the vortex, precisely as expected, it simply means that Einstein was right, again. But what if they don’t? There might be a flaw in Einstein’s theory, a tiny discrepancy that heralds a revolution in physics. First, though, there are a lot of data to analyze. Stay tuned.

A holographic universe; just a buzzing web of maya, everything connected to everything else - reality is really unreal.

Okay, I can live with that. It's a beautiful and even convincing philosophy. It's all a dream within a dream.

But what comfort is that to the tortured child, the butchered beast, the innocent soul in torment?

Believing in a holographic universe is a nice luxury.

I most often recieve visions not in waking but ordinary dreams when sleeping and what I see isn't very encouraging. In one I stepped out of a building holding a new drivers ID card and looked up into the sky and saw a huge satellite flying around space. That vision was from 1987.

"Hemi-Sync" sounds interesting. I wonder if it works if your deaf. I also wonder if the mantras typical to many "schools" of meditation function similarly, or provide a similar effect

I doubt it would because you need to hear the frequencies. However, perhaps the sound vibrations might cause some entrainment due to simple mechanical vibrations of the matter around your ear. It's a bit beyond me if that would be effective. Also, I don't think mantras work in the same way because you hear them with both ears. And.. they are not disparate frequencies.

I'm very familiar with Monroe's work and techniques. Never went there. I have a close acquaintance who went there a few times about 10 yrs ago. His stories are fantastic. I bought many of Monroe's CD's to work at home.

Ok..in a nutshell... binaural frequencies, binaural beat frequenceis, and entrainment.

Two frequencies close together, each one is heard by one ear. Hence, you need headphones. The brain produces the beat frequency, the difference between the two. It causes the overall brain, both hemispheres, to become synchronized.. entrained. Different beat frequencies have different effects. Certain beats are more conducive to OOB experiences and other..."different experiences."

I got the Gateway series and listened to certain selections everyday for almost two years. But, my goal was not OOB's, so I never consciously attempted to do that while listening.

I have had spontaneous OOB's in the past before ever listening to these CD's. I've also had other forms of.. whatever you wanna call them. Precog's, etc.

I know from personal experiences and those of the person I mentioned above, and from Monroe.. that one must be careful with this stuff. But there are ways to learn how to deal with and protect oneself from unkindly energies while OOB. It's a serious matter, believe it or not. Some folks might wanna do it to impress others, maybe. That's a dangerous thing to do.

I had no desire to experiment with OOB..intentionally produced. Personal reasons. I didn't need to do that, so I didn't. I used his techniques for self-healing purposes. To be able to tap into the healing power of my own mind.

And.. I was successful with it. A number of doctors told me I would most likely need surgery for my heart. Two separate tests indicated a problem. That was in 99.

Now.. I'm fine. No surgery, no poisonous drugs ever taken. All natural.. herbs, etc. And.. using my mind to heal my body. And I've done that. No kidding.. no bs.

Several years ago my doctor stopped asking me about it. :)

Later.. take care.

I've used the hemi sync tapes, given to me by one of my main programmers (who is also a family member and officer in the military). They made visits to The Monroe Foundation in the eighties.

I've also studied and practiced a lot of meditation in the course of healing from the mind control abuses, sexual torture, etc, that was intrinsic to MKUltra.

I found the article about the holographic universe interesting, giving a scientific explanation to something I've experienced and I believe mystics have experienced for eons.

When it all comes down to it though, it's all about- what are your intentions and what are you going to do? Anyone who applies themself can tap into a holographic inner dimension.

Are you a dabbler who researches these things along with brain wave frequencies and uses them to enslave children for life (you hope) and use them as unpaid labor to further your criminal agenda?

Are you an easily impressed entertainment seeker who likes to conceptualize in their free time?

Or are you seeking to heal yourself and others and find solutions to the dilemma we presently find ourselves in?

I sometimes wonder about this blog. Why isn't there a section to discuss action? How can Jeff be so naieve? The constant interlacing of awe at their unparalled psychic research, the UFOs, the creatures, etc, plays into their strategy of disempowerment.

I agree that metaphysical topics are important and worth discussing, but to imply that these crass criminals are so brilliant in this area that they leave us in the dust is a joke.

I'm so tired of this. In the cult it is how they try to terrorize us, muddle our memories and make sure we won't be taken seriously.

Why does it have to continue on the internet and in books by our "advocates"?

Jeff, I've frequently found your writings very helpful and enlightening but what's up with this?

Remote veiwing or telepathy whatever you may chose to lable these phenomena that elude scientific qualification, do exist and are practiced by many people , if not all people, whether they are consciously aware of it or not. A simply idea is that there may be two types of people, those who are psychic and accept it and those that are psychic and deny it.

Jeff,

What's your take on this?

http://www.geocities.com/satanicreds/index.html

These "satanic reds" seem to be some cross between Gnosticism, Wicca, and Wilhelm Reich!!

What distinguishes wicca from satanism? Were there earlier links? Were there quasi-Masonic or Gnostic groups who were somewhere in between good and evil, and perhaps perpetuated in family traditions (like the Satanic Red author asserts) that bridged the gap?

The Satanic Reds folk have some interesting literature to read, although they seem quite naive when it comes to intelligence connections and some of the darker sides of Aquino, for example.

I'd be curious what your take on that site is.

Namaste from Gis': Wow, this discussion takes me back to the 70's and magical mystery days spent reading Carlos Castenada & Monroe's "Journeys out of the Body"...

A more recent magical mystery trip is studying the extensive research of Dan Winter. Particularly his insight into the nature of humanitys' ensouled DNA and how it came to be entrapped in this demon (= alien/Anunaki?)-hijacked holographic matrix reality. A prison reality that has been described by some as being a flat screeen image that's being generated in some cosmological XBox and specifically designed to be perceptually perceived by the human brain's sensory system as "real"... but isactually composed of EM grids supporting an etheric screen of illusory energy vortices (atomic particles) that are aligned & glued into place via pranic forces.

And it is especially intriguing, imho, how Winter's work gives us enlightening glimpses into the massive & complex "bigger picture" behind these deceptive veils of physical-matter reality along with exploring who, what, when, & how all this came about in ancient times. And role of mono-atomic gold dust has played in the hidden background of earth & humanity.

Here's 2 of his articles about these but I caution, they are only the tip of the iceberg:

When the FIRE in the Heart Becomes NOBLE: The KEY to Fusion
http://www.soulinvitation.com/noble/

Solar Wars & Amenti's Halls: DNA Imploding/Ensouling as Political Key to Who Steers the Sun's
'Streaming Media'
http://www.soulinvitation.com/solarwar/

Also, the comments are reminding me of another fascinating researcher, Kent Steadman www.cyberspaceorbit.com who's done some research about how Frank Herber's book, DUNE, is actually based on all this hidden history from our Galaxy's ancient times. That the mono-atomic gold powder, "spice", trade was what earthlings called "manna", and that the Anunaki were dependent on this artificial substance for soul travel, etc, as their DNA had lost the divine ability to create "star-fire". Dan Winter also has written much about this and how trade wars erupted in ancient times and we are still caught up in all this here on earth in our current events with struggles & warfare taking place between the hidden power factions. I think there are 2 movies based on the DUNE book if you are interested but prefer video over books.

This link contains precious material for self experimentation.
All what is described in the above article of Crystalink can be experienced in ones own existence, not merely outwardly by instruments, but inwardly- until that border melts- by our own awareness.

There are a lot of techniques shown, which are free from any dogmatic background.
It was developed by a tibetian lama, Tarthang Tulku who wanted to “translate” the wisdom and knowledge of the tantric dharma into modern language and thus free it from the tibetian cultural context, so it can be approached without prejudices and experience-disturbing pre-expectations (like the far-spread tibet romantic, full of occult mysteries and so on).

I had been experimenting with it for a while and the dream of anonymus with the guide saying the thing about gaps between thoughts reminded me of it.
Here is the version of that website : “As you observe your thoughts passing, watch very sensitively for the moment when one thought fades and another arises. This transition is very quick and subtle, but involves the momentary availability of a space which you can contact and even expand. This space has a quality of openness, free from the usual discursive and discriminative thinking. “

The concept is based on the three parts space, time and knowledge and offer thus different approaches. Check it out and see what it offers to you . Let knowledge be your guide.

No tragedy can compare with the
situation of having our human intelligence
-- our discerning capacity --
channeled, locked away, shut down.
This capacity is our greatest treasure,
and our one chance for fulfillment.

I don't know if you guys are still reading these comments but I wanted to say that I downloaded the whole hemi-sync program after reading this and I've been listening to it everynight. I'll have to try it in the day sometime because I always fall asleep, but I do have some sort of reaction to it. It makes the back of my head very tingly, deep in my head not like my scalp and many times through it I start to feel like I'm falling but I always get nervous and jump and that breaks my concentration for a while. I also wanted to share a remote viewer story. My girlfriend had a roommate who used to bring home alot of guys and she brought home this one guy that my girfriend said felt so creepy that she couldnt even be in the room with him and early on this guy told my gf and her roommate that he was a remote viewer and had worked for the government. The roommate eventually let him go but weeks later she jumped up out of her sleep because she thought he was in her room. She ran around the house looking for him but the house was quiet and empty. A few days later she saw him at a party and wasn't going to mention it but he came up to her and told her he was in her room that night (remotely) and that he touched her and followed her around. He told her what she was wearing and the pattern that she ran around in the house. She always avoided him after that and I believe her story. This happened in Richmond VA
