If you need a Vreeland refresher, here's a report from The Toronto Star, Dec 3rd of last year: ""Post-9/11, this doesn't seem all that weird"; a link to court documents; confirmation by Leo Wanta, longtime intelligence asset who destabilized the Soviet ruble in the '80s for the Reagan White House request, that Vreeland was an operative of the Office of Naval Intelligence; and an interview.

One person of particular concern is Adnan G. el Shukrijumah, a Saudi-born radical raised in Guyana and the United States who has been identified as a valued operative by Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the al Qaeda lieutenant who is in U.S. custody...Shukrijumah, 29, is a trained pilot who lived in Florida until he fled after the Sept. 11 attacks.
Shukrijumah is a commercial pilot and explosives expert with multiple passports and identities, who has been spotted recently in Central America, the Caribbean, and along the Mexico-US border. He has ties to South Florida and is frequently referred to as "the next Mohammed Atta". Definitely a suspicious character.
