"How high's the water, Mama?"

Two feet high, and risin'...

Of all the Johnny Cash songs America could have become, it had to be this one.

You can't keep your ear to the ground anymore, not when you're worried about keeping your head above water. And you may have noticed, there's one helluva downpour.

Consider just these recent appointments:

John Bolton, UN Ambassador. Someone who contends that West Nile Virus is a Cuban WMD attack. A man who said "There is no United Nations.... When the United States leads, the United Nations will follow. When it suits our interests to do so, we will do so. When it does not suit our interests, we will not." An advocate of a One-China Policy: Taiwan. A man who keeps a bronzed grenade in his office "to show how proud he is of being called a bomb-thrower" Someone described by former patron Jesse Helms as "the kind of man with whom I would want to stand at Armageddon, if it should be my lot to be on hand for what is forecast to be the final battle between good and evil in this world."

Karen Hughes, "Undersecretary of State for Public Diplomacy." In other words, the task of sugar-coating US foreign adventures, chiefly the "War on Terror," and particularly to the Islamic world, has been entrusted to Bush's monolingual fixer from his days in Austin, who has nothing but domestic policy experience.

Michael Griffin, to head NASA. Griffin, reports a glowing New York Times, was the "president and chief operating officer of In-Q-Tel, a nonprofit investment organization sponsored by the Central Intelligence Agency. He also served as the deputy for technology at the Strategic Defense Initiative Organization and worked on missile defense systems from 1986 to 1991." Let the Hubble fall, and the missiles fly - space will be liberated!

And this morning, Paul Wolfowitz, US nominee for President of the World Bank.

There is no understanding these appointments, before we appreciate that uniting them all is one arrogant, fat finger in the face of the world. These are decisions of a White House that doesn't care, knows it doesn't care, and wants us to know it doesn't care. The choices would be bizarre enough if they had been made unconscious of the impression they would make. But Occam doesn't cut that way, especially when multiplied by four. And they keep piling up. That's why the real danger in keeping your ear to the ground these days is drowning.

And this is just the stuff in the mainstream. This is just the stuff you are supposed to know about.

Three feet high, and risin'...

The Russian news agency Novosti has conducted an interview with Leonid Shebarshin, who served as the KGB's "chief of foreign spying" in the 1980s, and was named acting KGB chairman after the failed coup of 1991. (A French translation of the interview may be accessed here; I've yet to find it in English.)

Shebarshin makes three points which stand out: Iran will be the next target; "international terrorism" is a convenient fiction, and Osama bin Laden "is still today an agent of the CIA."

Did you get that? The former acting chairman of the KGB says bin Laden is still working for the United States. Of course, we'd be foolish to take a professional spy's word for anything. But, and again of course, we don't need to. We have our eyes, and our brains, and our guts. We've had for more than three years the reports that bin Laden was treated at the American hospital in Dubai the summer of 2001, and there met with the CIA station chief and others. What we've done with it, how we've let that and much else inform our judgement of the "War on Terror" narrative, has been our business. Our responsibility.

Besides, you can't tell people this stuff. Everyone needs to intuit for themselves just how wrong things have become. Or not. But knowing that something has gone horribly wrong with America is also about self-knowledge, particularly for Americans. Because the cognitive dissonance between the national myths and the imperial reality is threatening to become a serious issue of mental health.

Also out of Russia, there is this rumour, which originally appeared yesterday on the global investor board Le Metropole Cafe:

The Café and GATA (Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee) have developed quite the information network around the world. On that note I am passing on what I am hearing from a solid source. None of this can go in the verified camp, so it all must be treated as rumor until we receive proper verification:

Russia is preparing for possible war and its actions on the dollar indicate just that; they are going to back Syria, Iran. China will back Iran.

Russia has made deals on oil and gas projects and opened its minerals to trading. This should show soon in response to Chinese raw materials buying.

Russia has also abandoned efforts to tie the ruble's movement closely to the dollar and switched to shadowing both the euro and the US currency. This is the first step to war. Other countries operating de facto dollar pegs will follow suit. With 81 per cent of Russia's oil exports currently sold to Europe, the move means that Russia will eventually denominate its oil in euros.

Asia is following Russia, or should I say leading, and is about to dump dollars in sizeable chunks; they believe that the U.S. dollar is no longer seen as a stable currency and it appears that Malaysia will be the first major Asian economy to dump the dollar. China has already calculated when they will optimize the dumping of the dollar to provide the greatest strength to a newly un-pegged Yuan. Both events will occur very close together and it will be planned to do the most damage to the US.

As the source says, "Take it or leave it. Time will tell on all counts." And time ain't what it used to be.

Four feet high, and risin'...

Now, if you want to wade real deep in the Big Muddy, go here, and download the video "Desperate Wives, Part One."

Let me tell you something of what you'll see.

You'll see a 20-minute clip of an interview with Kay Pollard Griggs, wife - widow? - of Marine Colonel George Griggs. She speaks of her husband's torment regarding rampant homosexual blackmail, rape, and systemic paedophilia in the highest ranks of the US military and government. Not exactly new to us who considered "Jeff Gannon," Craig Spence, Johnny Gosch and more; just corroboration. (By the way, Colonel Griggs's name comes up in this story, which adds the protected drug trade to the mix. He is also linked here to retired Colonel Michael Aquino, of "Franklin Cover-Up" notoriety, and the Temple of Set.)

You'll see a woman who, if she's lying, must first be lying to herself, because despite the sensational subject, she comes across as entirely credible.

Now, honestly, I don't know how this material can ever make a difference. The Left can't touch it because the gatekeepers will call it homophobia, though it's really about power. And the Right won't touch it because it tarnishes its own militarist fetish. And most, anyway, would dismiss it out of hand as nonsense, because nothing in the media has prepared them for such knowledge. So who is going to pay attention?

More importantly, why is it important now to pay attention to this, when there's so much being washed away in the flood?

There is no keeping pace with the acceleration of America's disorder, but there may be some understanding it, which must come before it can be corrected. For that, though, we have to go back, even before Project Paperclip and the attempted corpo-coup against Franklin Roosevelt. Maybe we need to go back to the 19th Century, and consider men like Albert Pike, and perhaps things like the erection of the Osirian phallus called the Washington Monument. Maybe we need to go back further still. Maybe millenia. Perhaps we need to do that, to discern a thread of history - either genuine, or meaningful only to the fascist imagination - that links ancient mystery religions and secret societies to today's imperial death cult, which binds itself in blood and semen.

Well, it's five feet high, and risin'....

A few days ago, someone mentioned Terence McKenna's Timewave theory, that time is literally speeding up, and novelty increasing, towards a temporal zero point in late 2012. I don't know about that. But as allegorical truth, it's brilliant. And particularly insightful since McKenna died in 2000, before the crazy kicked it up a notch.

I guess we'll see in seven years or so. And with time what it is these days, that's not too long to wait.

Clearly, the powers that be want to keep as many balls in the air at once, much more than can possibly be juggled by people such as ourselves who devote a large portion of our lives to pondering these matters (much less the average joe).

And it doesn't take much to pull it off. Despite Arthur C.Clarke's remark "specialization is for insects", it's a basic aspect of human nature to compartmentalize and thus specialize. Among the sizable segment of the population who question the status quo, it's done in categories and specialties: some are "into" the JFK assassination, some are "into" niches like fighting RFID tags, or genetically modified foods. Even among as fringe a niche as UFOs, there are infinite degrees of hair-splitting: some focus exclusively on Area 51, others on Roswell, others on Icke's reptilian mythology.

The sad thing is that many a "Space Brothers"-worshipping New Ager who distrusts the U.S. Government still thinks the people pursuing the Guckert/Gannon story are nuts, and vice versa. This is why as it stands today, conservatism tends to beat liberalism: because liberalism contains a vast cornucopia of wildly different belief systems that mostly have nothing to do with each other, and can never be focused together on one matter for a common goal.

Knowing this, it's easy to see Rove cooking up many diversions to create even more splintering. Even I tend to spend a lot more time pondering on the Franklin Coverup these days than on Bush/Diebold's rigging of the election.

Hmm, depending on which flavor you prefer your gobbeldygook, 2012 is also the date of the Maya Cosmogenesis, as well as the date when the the earth will supposedly be engulfed in an intergalactic photon belt, in accordance with Pleadiean Agenda.

Here's what the "noted astrologer", Govind Kumar, has to say:

"The astrologic scholar Jeff Jawer remarks that the Aquarian Age has not arrived in his article " On The Cusp between Pisces and Aquarius. " The first Venus Transit occurred in 2004 & the next one will be in 2012. These 8 years will be like the Dark Night of the Soul, a chaotic period of purgatorial suffering as the Planet Earth goes through a dark phase. Dr Jose Arguelles, the scholar who brought the concept of Harmonic Convergence, also thinks that the enlightening Age of Aquarius will dawn on 2012.

The famous song on Aquarian Age states thus:

When the moon is in the Seventh House

And Jupiter aligns with Mars

Then peace will guide the planets

And love will steer the stars!

This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius

The age of Aquarius

Aquarius!

Aquarius!

All freethinkers are excited about the New Aquarian Age where Wisdom will blossom and importance will be on Self development, Self Transformation, Self Realisation & Self Actualisation. Gone are the days of dogma & Blind Faith. Personal transformation will result in Planetary Transformation !

Dante, Bernard Shaw & Alice Bailey had highlighted in their writings that a World Government is the only solution to achieve permanent World Peace. Mahesh Yogi inaugurated the World Government in 1975 in Seelisberg, Switzerland ( " In response to the call of time, a global organisation has been structured, the non-political, the non-religious World Government which has the knowledge and expertise to create an ideal society" ). Foster Bailey, the husband of Alice Bailey, said that " Free Masonry is the descendent of a United World Religion, a divinely imparted Religion. Then came separativeness and religions. Now we are striving for a United World Order" There is also a move to create a World Stock Market & to control all governments in the world. The foundations behind the United Nations are spiritual. The Global Oneness Movement is gaining momentum and a Council of Global Governance has been constituted with Maurice Strong as the President.

Dr Wilhmhurst saw the dawning of the Aquarian Age as the fulfillment of the Plan and said that Free Masonry may be the vehicle for that fulfillment. Wise people point out that the New Age Movement is the Universal Religion which H G Wells predicted would one day take over mankind.

The hand of the Mysteries controlled the establishment of the United States Government and the signature of the Mysteries may still be seen on the Great Seal of the United States of America. The Seal discloses a mass of Masonic symbols, chiefly amongst them the American Eagle, which is a conventionalized phoenix. The U S Supreme Court Justice Felix Frankfurter said " The real rulers in Washington are invisible and exercise power from behind the scenes "."

So there you go - we are now in the Dark Night of the Soul, awaiting the next Venus transit in 2012. But fear not, for it is only "a chaotic period of purgatorial suffering", painful, of course, but necessary. After which, of course, we'll enter the Age of Aquarius (finally! I thought that happened in the sixties). It might be fitting to recite "the Great Invocation, the World Prayer, which belongs to all humanity":

"From point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May the Coming One return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men –
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth."

So maybe that's what's going on - the old order must be utterly destroyed, and they only have 7 years left to do it. Didn't Scott Ritter say that they've made the decision to attack Iran in june...

Finally, globalist bigshot, "environmentalist" and New Age rancher Maurice Strong - whose spiritual colony, located in the vicinity of NORAD's underground headquarters, is frequently visited by the Rockefellers and Henry Kissinger as well as by "strange lights in the sky" - wrote the following about the interlocking of economy and ecology:

"This interlocking...is the new reality of the century, with profound implications for the shape of our institutions of governance, national and international. By the year 2012, these changes must be fully integrated into our economic and political life."

We'll see about that. Personally, I think 2012 is the year Arnold is elected president, which hardly bodes well for the Age of Aquarius.

2012 sure seems to be some sort of magic number, doesn't it?

Somewhere, forget where, I heard that the sun's poles are due to shift, supposedly in 2012. This is expected to cause massive solar flares.. supposedly worse than the ones in 1859 that shorted out all the telegraph wires in the US and Europe.

More on 1859:

More on solar flares, including the 2012 prediction:

The arrogance, even delusion, of the administration grows as its incompetence, corruption and malice continues unchecked. They just hasten the day of reckoning with their increasingly poor decisions. One day soon, the US public, Asian central bankers and EU leaders will snap out of it and stop these folks in their tracks.

Yeah, we'll be in a world of hurt economically and politically by that point, but it takes pain (purgatory), before change can happen.

small point, it was robert anton wilson who first expanded on time speeding up as a popular notion (though I suspect certain physicists such as Eddington and Schroedinger had similar thoughts previously) - mckenna was simply repackaging an established theory.

conservatism is at essence bereft of ideology at all, thats why the right tends to hate the left, because diverse as it is, the left generally stands for something. the right generally stands for no left and rampant indivualism to the point of greedy social disintegration.

I find it interesting that, as Spooked pointed out, the press is painting Wolfowitz as some wonderful visionary, but that they started doing it so close to the nomination. Here's Andrew Sullivan on March 6 backing up this David Brooks editorial: "I've never understood the demonization of this man, whose integrity has always struck me as unimpeachable. He truly is a sincere backer of freedom around the world, has taken many lumps defending that increasingly vindicated principle, and been subjected to the usual obloquy from the reactionary parts of the left. The only moral question that hangs over him is the deployment of torture. I have no idea what his involvement in that shameful chapter of the war has been. But it would go against everything I know about the man to think he would approve. Or am I being naive?"

Maybe Sullivan is being naive. Brooks isn't, though. I wonder how it feels to be a conservative shill?

Great article. Many truths here.

I saw Paul Wolfowitz speak in San Francisco at an event sponsored by the Commonwealth Club and this man is truly scary. At one point he made a joke about how when he was green in Washington Sec. of State Schultz showed him a globe. Schultz asked Wolfowitz where the single most important geopolitical point of interest is and then George spun the globe. Wolfie pointed to Indonesia, and George chastised him and spun the globe to America and pointed a his finger and said "Here."

This was a "joke."

I am not making this up.

Thanks, unbrand, for that disquieting yet enlightening piece of information. I hope he didn't lick his comb at that event, like in Fahreneit 9/11?

I have to concur with those who wish to wake up and realize it's all in our heads and that the nice lady on CNN tells us all we need to know. Wouldn't that be wonderful. I just watched their summary of the Iraq war, for instance: US forces won a quick initial victory and the Iraqi people were happy because they were free. Then the US failed to pay enough attention to the looting. Then the insurgency was started by foreigners and Saddam loyalsts, and Zarqawi became their leader. Then, two contractors were killed in Falluha, and that marked "the low point of the war"! I kid you not. The death of two mercenaries was the worst thing that happened throughout the entire war in Iraq, according to the CNN.

Then, of course, came the elections and the Iraqis were happy again. But the insurgency still isn't beaten, and it may still take some time - maybe two years - to thoroughly defeat it.

And to think that this is the "news" for an intelligent and liberal minority!

AH, that reminds me. Here in the Windy City of Chicago, I recently ran into a veteran of our Special Forces who "served" in a key position in during the '80s and early '90s.

I asked this guy (let's call him "Special K") if he'd seen work in Afghanistan.

"Yep," he said.

"Did you know Osama?"

"Yep."

"Trained him?"

"Yep. He's a tall guy," says Special K, holding his hand at about six-foot-three to illustrate. "He was just a banker, a financier. Not a soldier. He'd only been in three battles back then at the time I met him."

Isn’t it true, I asked Special K, that bin Laden has bad kidneys and was on dialysis?

He nodded.

I didn't press the issue much further, but opted instead to get Special's contact info for further chats.

But before we parted, he also mentioned he had worked with "what's that guy's name ... in Panama ..."

"Noriega!" I said.

"Yeah! Him." Special K made some remark about Noriega that I don't quite remember. He also informed me that in his capacity as a sniper he'd killed a few Colombian drug types.

Then he remarked, in a tone somewhere between weary resignation and frustration, that during Gulf War I he and his boys, who were sent by Stormin' Norman to infiltrate Baghdad and whack Saddam, were at the last minute pulled back "on orders from the Pentagon." Special K didn't get it. "Stormin' Norman didn't get it either," he told me.

He seemed genuinely mystified. He didn't seem to know, or pretended not to know, much about the big picture of things. I coulda given him the conspiracy theory, but I didn't want to get into that long conversation at that particular time.

Hey, the satanists use Divide et impera against the genuine conservatives as well as their liberal counterparts. I was active in the American so-called "patriot" movement (closely allied to the militia movement). There were dozens of factions and movements-within-the-movement. Some were on a single-minded crusade to abolish the Fed and reestablish gold and silver money, as if that were the panacea. Others thought renouncing U.S. federal citizenship in favor of state citizenship as the Answer. To others, it was mind control. Some were narrowly focused on the right to bear arms. Some focused on tax resistance. Some embraced totally nutty schemes such as "Nesara" and other earlier scams hawked by personalities such as "Grandma" and the Rayelan Russbacher/CONTACT/"UFO patriot" faction.
And some thought that as soon as we got LaRouche into the White House, the lion would lay down with the lamb and swords would be beaten into plowshares.

About ten years ago, CONTACT--my favorite newspaper from space--itself carried a quote from a supposed psy-ops insider who boasted that it is easy to manipulate the public by keeping them busy with a never-ending, ever-changing succession of "issues." It's sort of like the recent statement by a U.S. official that "we are an empire .... we create reality and you react to it ..." etc.

I think more and more, we Truth Seekers are going to have to apprehend the importance of the adage, "Keep it Simple, Stupid." Are we against a million different discrete evils, or are we for a single, unitary Good?

Funny, in that English translation of the Shebarshin interview he doesn't say anything about Bin Laden being a CIA agent. He does say that the "War on Terror" has nothing to do with terrorism, though, and that "the term “international terrorism” is nothing more than a subtle invention of US propaganda." That may perhaps not have been the entire interview?

In another interview, conducted not long after the 9/11 attacks, he was asked "why did the CIA end its relationship with Bin Laden" or something to that effect, and he answered "that's a good question". He also said that he didn't know who was behind 9/11, and that he was not convinced it was al-Qaida/Bin-Laden.

In yet another interview, a group interview with other Russian personalities, the consensus among the interlocutors was that the "international financial mafias" were behind 9/11. Shebarshin did apparently not dispute that assumption. So it seems that he may indeed hold the opinion that Bin Laden is still a CIA asset, but it is unclear if he has said so directly or if Résau Voltaire or the Russian magazine simply read that into the other things he said.
