It's all about "them"
It ain't about "us"
Here's a concept that shifted my paradigm: It's of no concern whether I think something ridiculous; what matters is, do they? And do they, really?
For instance, I used to have no consideration for secret societies. Why would I? Old boys in aprons, the Templars, Skull and Bones and "Jahbulon" - so what? The subject seemed as serious as The Simpsons' musical question, "Who made Steve Guttenberg a star?" It meant nothing to me.
But then, it's not all about me, is it? And self-evidently, secret societies, and the secrets they keep, matter a great deal to many who hold authority over us.
I've never seen a UFO, so my thoughts are uninfluenced by anecdote. And it's easy to dismiss accounts of sightings and abductions as swamp gas, hoaxes, fantasies and delusions. Easy, and preferable, because to admit their reality would be to perturb our understanding of reality. Yet whatever their nature, or natures, UFOs remain an extremely sensitive matter to the National Security State. The amount of disinformation and official scorn the subject continues to accrue is partial evidence of this.
We've seen how ridicule heaped upon sensitive subjects deters serious inquiry. In Confrontations, Jacques Vallee writes of a remarkable 1976 sighting in Grenoble, in which a blue-white disc with an intense green halo was viewed by multiple and independent witnesses. The silent disk was seen flying at a constant velocity, then stopping to hover for up to 10 seconds, before flying at a greater speed in a different direction. What makes this sighting particularly notable is that one witness was a senior French physicist, and still the scientific establishment expressed no interest: "To them it was just another UFO report, even if the main witness was one of their colleagues." (Similarly, in Messengers of Deception, Vallee recounts personally witnessing astronomers destroy data which detailed observations of "impossible" UFOs, because they didn't want to be regarded as "crazy.")
UFOs have not only been the subject of ridicule, but of official, "serious" investigations, which have co-opted researchers into perpetrating limited hangouts. "Bluebook," for instance, and the Condon Report. (And in The Last Investigation, Gaeton Fonzi said much the same regarding the House Select Committee on Assassinations.) Officially, these subjects have been investigated. Officially, while some questions remain, the cases are closed.
Through the Stargate
Now, let's consider "Project Stargate," the 24-year remote-viewing program of US military-intelligence. Which, as with its reluctanctly-admitted mind control research, has been officially terminated, and pronounced a "failure."
In 1995, the CIA sponsored an evaluation of the Remote-Viewing Program by the "American Institutes for Research." Its derisive conclusions were seized upon by the mainstream press as proof of government waste and the inefficacy of parapsychology. Indeed, the CIA seemed over-eager to promote these impressions. As W. Adam Mandelbaum writes in The Psychic Battlefield (A History of the Military-Occult Complex):
It is interesting to note how easily obtained this report is.... Your author received a fax of the summary within five minutes of requesting it, and an email copy in about the same amount of time. In two decades of dealing with government bureaucracies, it was the first time I saw such a demonstration of efficiency and public service. After reviewing the report for this history, I appreciated the reasons for such efficiency. The CIA was most anxious that any inquiring party would have the conclusions of the evaluation immediately upon request. These conclusions, as we shall see, were mandated prior to the evaluation having commenced.
In a press release of the Society for Scientific Exploration, Dr Edwin May, the former director for remote-viewing research, asserted "It is estimated that more than 80,000 pages of program documents remain highly classified," and were not examined for the AIR report, which concluded remote viewing "failed to produce the concrete specific information valued in intelligence gathering."
Mandelbaum makes a case for the program's having produced "concrete specific information":
In the early days of the research, Pat Price correctly obtained code words from a target site, and accurately rendered structural features of numerous targets. That is concrete and specific. In 1981, Joseph McMoneagle accurately determined via remote viewing that General James Dozier was being held in Padua, and described the correct building. That is concrete and specific. In 1979 McMoneagle and Riley accurately described a Chinese nuclear device at Lop Nor, and a test of a bomb that exploded but failed to go nuclear. That is concrete and specific. The aforesaid AIR conclusion about the failure of operational remote viewing is a concret and specific misstatement of fact. Put more simply, it is a lie.
Dr May adds: "There is compelling evidence that the CIA set the outcome with regard to intelligence usage before the evaluation had begun. This was accomplished by limiting the research and operations data sets to exclude positive findings."
An "eyeball roller"
A fascinating refutation of Project Stargate by a Lieutenant Colonel appeared in the Winter, 2000 issue of The Intelligencer: Journal of US Intelligence Studies. He calls Stargate an "eyeball roller," and declares remote viewing impossible upon the materialist argument that "the transmission of visual information to the brain simply doesn't occur outside the visual spectrum."
This is fascinating chiefly for who wrote it: Lt Col Michael Aquino, of MindWar and other notorieties, and founder of the Temple of Set. (It can be viewed as a .pdf file here, hosted by the Temple.) The Temples's reading list includes many titles in Enochian magick. A purpose of the Temple is not to promote Elizabethan scholarship, but to do magick. (According to the University of Virginia's curriculum on New Religious Movements, "New members start out as Setian I°, then will advance to Adept II° after being judged to be skilled at black magic. If new affiliates do not become Adept II° within two years after joining, their membership will be discontinued.")
Whatever remote viewing may be, it is not unusually keen eyesight, which seems to be the basis of Aquino's refutation. It may, in fact, be more akin to a magickal working, something up Aquino's alley. In Remote Viewing Secrets, the Pentagon's most successful psychic spy, Joseph McMoneagle, writes that while viewing, he has occasionally encountered "entities" which attempted to impede his vision.
When Aquino left the Church of Satan in 1975, he "performed a Greater Black Magical Working that resulted in (among other things) an inspired document called The Book of Coming Forth By Night." Undoubtedly Aquino would have little regard for a debunking of the genesis of his temple's sacred text based upon a materialist argument concerning the transmission of auditory information to the brain.
Would the CIA intentionally mislead the public regarding the efficacy of its psychic spying? Would the Defense Department prefer to be regarded as wasteful, than successful? Consider for a moment the admission, on September 10, 2001, that the Pentagon has "lost" several trillion dollars over the course of a decade; roughly a third of its budget. Apparently it would prefer to be considered grossly negligent, than to admit to a deep black budget with no oversight.
By the way
Maybe it's time to say this: while I've come think it highly probably there is an occult aspect to the National Security State, I'm not grinding a religous axe about it. Just as with sexual practice, which religious practice often mimics, so long as people are not harmed and no injury is brought to the world, I have no problem with anyone's beliefs, however esoteric.
What alarms me is the increasing body of evidence that people are being harmed, and the world is being injured, by a cult abuse which enjoys the sanction a State which itself has become a covert practioner of the Black Arts. I am not suggesting that all those who are pursuing hermetic knowledge and are involved in the occult - "New Agers," Thelemites, Luciferians and the rest - are conspiring together, or share in the guilt.
For what it's worth, here's the website of Aaron C Donahue, who is both a remote viewer and a Luciferian.
He claims George W Bush is spiritually possessed, and a "strange tube-like morphology of an intelligence system is noted" within his body. "This tube-like image is commonly seen of Angels operating outside of normal awareness."
I wouldn't have thought so a couple of years ago, but now, it makes perfect sense.

Nice post. As I have said before, the more you write about this stuff, the more it starts to make sense.
That website of Aaron C Donahue is one of the oddest things I've seen. The burning of the file containing the HIV/AIDS cure? Flat-out weird stuff there.
Funny you mention Foucault's Pendulum. I read it about 12 years ago, and I've been thinking about it a lot recently. In fact, I was drafting a post on the weekend that referred to it, but ended up scrapping it.
When I have time, after I read everything I want to read that I haven't read once, I'll read it again.
Foucault's Pendulum is awsome, I've read it 4 times. In the end the guy is waiting, but is real or just a bunch of crazyness? I couldn't tell. I mean the scene in the museum happened I guess but did it really? I will read that book again but I don't know if I will ever figure it out.

Whoaaa! Just checked out Aaron C Donahue. Too strange for words. Find the value of X? X/Pi+666. Can't do it, but still want to win the Lottery. Then there's that youreyeswideshut, what's a fell'a to think. There is always a grain of truth to these things I am afraid to say. Eeekkkk!
Good Jeff (writes Evil Geoff)...
Changing gears a bit, but still spinning on the same ground, I was idlly flipping through a copy of Joel Bakan's The Corporation: The Pathological Pursuit of Profit and Power at a relative's house, when I hit the 1934 business/fascist plot to take over the presidency.
I'm sure I must have come across it before, likely in Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States...but I don't recall it. There is an eerie amount of stuff to this. As someone who grew up in a household where award-winning JFK assasination documentaries were made, I was shocked that neither I nor my relative recalled this episode. We had nothing.
Didn't seem so mysterious after a few minutes though. There has only been one book on the plot; I learned this while checking Bakan's endnotes. ONE BOOK!...and LONG out of print, which tells you something, especially since the starting price for the only edition (1973) starts used at two hundred bucks [AMAZON, Alibris, abebooks etc. The plot to seize the White House by Jules Archer
Used & new from $199.97]
Couple of websites can fill in some of this important event for people [hint: until someone buys a copy of Archer's book and scans it for all of us to read]:

The last has some of the related House of Unamerican Activities Reports in .pdf format, though they were selective in publishing testimony. And, of course, none of the conspirators were subpoenaed.
Man, it just feels that here was the central American node of human evil and greed that then got their act together after World War II...helped along to the title with a horde of Free Agents from the Show in Europe.
Forget General Russell! Do you know Major General Butler!
Hey Geoff - "Good Jeff"/"Evil Geoff": that's way too Manichean, man! :) - I didn't realize there was only ONE book devoted to the subject. You'd think there might be more interest.
There's a good book by Charles Higham called Trading with the Enemy (out of print, like lots of good books), that covers a number of little-covered (ie, fascist and Nazi-sympathizing) issues of US history from the '30s and '40s. I forget if the aborted coup is mentioned, but certainly some of the sponsors, like the duPonts, are.
Hello, Jeff.
The waves that I surfed to your site were from a new blog called booman trubune, to soj's flogging the simian, to you. Your site was the second leading referrer to FTS.
I was in just the right mood to encounter RI. Sort of a mix of smoldering rage and hopelessness.
If it's just entertainment, great. If there are seeds of truth, eerie.
I need something, like getting spiritually straight for 2012, to motivate me. Thanks!
Actually, it looks like all the testimony before the House UA Committee is there in the pdfs I referred to on
http://coat.ncf.ca/our_magazine/links/53/generalsources.html
...Butler's etc., and some really dodgey money testimony by McGuire, the 'contact' man.
Interesting to note that it was a Philadelphia paper that broke the Plot story, and checked it out as best they could at the time. It was also a Phillie paper that said the 9/11 black boxes were recovered, wasn't it?
In keeping with the spirit of the great and accurate moniker " Rigorous Intuition," these links simply feel relevant:
The Men Who Stare at Goats
“In 1979 a secret unit was established by the most gifted minds within the US Army. Defying all known accepted military practice - and indeed, the laws of physics - they believed that a soldier could adopt the cloak of invisibility, pass cleanly through walls and, perhaps most chillingly, kill goats just by staring at them. Entrusted with defending America from all known adversaries, they were the First Earth Battalion. And they really weren't joking. What's more, they're back and fighting the War on Terror. 'The men who stare at goats' reveals extraordinary - and very nutty - national secrets at the core of George W Bush's War on Terror. “

Dear Jeff and fellow students of Life Love and Reality:
Truly a wonderous blog out of the fog, though you do tend to get caught in the darkness as most of us do because we simply never thought that this is the way the world worked, and that we are ruled by what are in essence psychopathic criminal elites. Of course there are intimations that there is even more to this strangeness, which might be called hyper dimensional domains interacting with our flatland mentality and consciouness. There are also other wonderous things developing out there and perhaps the site vortexpluswater.com has clues as well as briansbetterworld.com, because these entropic trends can only be reversed by us.
Yes the doctor must first clearly see what the disease is, and often it turns out few want healing, and yes they will kill and suppress all this calls us to be more conscious and creative.
I think also you should highlight Catherine Austin Fitts and her Solari.com, for she has and is within the buzzsaw, and has come there from Wall Street and being a "Republican". Also Karl Schwarz also seems to be fully engaged in responding to the evil that we seem to be embedded in, and he is a perfect answer for those who come here calling us here 'leftist loonies'. I just can not find any tin foil so i can wear my hat proudly.{smiles}
The level of ignorance is extensive everywhere, and really the embers of decency are there in most people if you blow on them the right way. We should smile and learn how to transform all of this negative energy into joy and wonder for is not that what is beating in our heart of hearts?
Peace and Blessings to all of you Noble brave souls. Yes Amdoc or whatever in Israel that processes our calls needs to be beaten out for those contracts, and we need to be free to speak as we will. Why just a month ago a wonderfull soul contacted me from Lagos, and then I read about that 11 year old russian-cuban child who did a refrigerator and think something else.
In the degree that we feed our fear and sophisticated cynicism we are no better than the slugs on Wall Street or the City of London or any other manipulative elite. We do have to network and share, and I learn everytime I come here, and I am so thankfull for that.
I think a fundemental Text that all of us should read is SECRETS OF COLD WAR TECHNOLOGY Project Haarp and Beyond by Gerry Vassilatos, to get a sense how the game is played and set from the ground level shall we say.
Also thunderbolts.info is a wake up call as to the nature of universe, and shows how some very bright minds can be ever so blind to what really is, but of course let me never forget that one can be 99% right and a 100% wrong.
For further journeys to and past edge city and the desert of the Real one can go to trufax.org(which seems to be perhaps dis-information, still one learns) or take another step with cassiopaea.org, but again every site has its weak points and perhaps you can set up some system for us to collect what we are seeing, for it is a little hard for me being basicly homeless, after being roobbed by the lawyers and my stupidity.
Again my best to you and your wide ranging mind and thought-full comments and tone, as well as all who share here and enrich us all.
Jeff, you have very interesting stuff on this site.
I keep coming back to the first paragraph of this post: it's not what we believe or even know as fact.
It's what the people with the power believe, and what they act on given these beliefs.
Whether or not it's an overtly dark cult running the government, it's perfectly evident that a rational reality-based worldview is antithetical to them.
On the flip side of their thinking is this point: just as they keep acting out their visions in an attempt to manipulate their world, the reality they're dealing with will keep eluding them.
Just like it eluded the Nazis.
For whatever the real nature of the world, it doesn't respond well to delusion, and the practicioners of that art end up being eaten by their own demons.
Anonymous One,get your tin foil out,I was doing a search to see where Michael Aquino might be.I stumbled on this site wiolawapress.com/jessica.htm,check this shit out,be sure to look back to home site wiolawapress.com.The Atlanta shooter is not human- story is some wild stuff,if those two guys are the same dude, check it out.
About cassiopaea.org, as someone mentioned above: I have close experience with these folks, and they basically reconstitute the theories of others, including Vallee, as their own. Their ideas on hyperdimensional realities are interesting, but I know from an insider perspective that what they're saying now is very different than what they were saying two years ago; further, personal in-fighting and nearly cultish devotion tend to compromise their best work. Just keep this in mind if you get curious and pay them a visit.
Yes I think your point about Cassiopaea.org is well taken, and such are the dangers in this world when you get near the truth. Still there are perceptive about a range of phenomena. I think that is why i mentioned thunderbolts.info to counter their mathmatical physics. they also seem to be stuck on the darkside and fail to see that others are working to create options for us and that if we want a world that is not controlled by the existing psychopathic criminal elite and a economics of extinction, exploitation and enslavement there is much to do and transform.
Of course it is quite shocking to see less than 5,000 people have signed the petition for a national revote, not that that is going to change anything. These players on the other side are very ruthless and manipulative, and they think extremely long term, and we have to jump ahead of them, and the materials and manner that jeff approaches the issues is a step in that direction.
And yes DARPA set up the internet and it appears to be a way to map the global brain as well as track us all so may the more technical and creative outthere see how to turn that lead to gold.
Also this was an attempt to deal with the mis-information and dis-information qualities of what is on the net, because they are also playing that to maximum advantage, along with our individual blinders.
